Have a seat and think for a moment…
…have a good look at the world around you. Take it all in. The majesty of mountains, the beauty of flowers, the romance of colour and the passion of music. And yet as you look again, you see more; the searing pain of loss, the crippling fear of guilt, the endless sneers of failure and the shattered dreams of mankind.
Something very good has gone very wrong. All is not as it should be or could be, not only in our lives, but through the cry of the pages of history.
But there is hope for humanity! "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
God loves you and me deeply. The Bible is a love story between God and the people he created and chose. Thinking that we know best, we have turned away from God's direction and protection and we live according to what we think is best for our lives.
This rebellion and separation is defined by the Bible as 'sin' (Romans 3:23). The wages of this sin is death, but God, in his great love sent Jesus for the greatest search and rescue mission the universe will ever see! God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin.
