Local Community

The Vine seeks to make a positive contribution to the local Cranbrook community, and to the surrounding parishes. Some areas of community involvement are detailed below.

Supporting local schools

Currently the Vine Church is working with Cranbrook Primary School to assist with regular School assemblies. From time-to-time we are also invited to speak at RE classes and assemblies of other local schools in the area. Here's what the Headteacher had to say:

"The Vine Church has been involved in the life of our school for several years, and are a valued part of our school community. The children love having members of the church in to lead collective worship, and always look forward to these assemblies. When the band come in and play, the children are fully engaged and it is fantastic to see them so excited and involved in the worship taking place. The staff and children alike greatly value the contribution of the Vine Church to our school life. Thank you Vine Church for sharing God's message so effectively and passionately with our pupils!"

Partnering with other local churches

The Vine has good relational links with other local churches and partners together for specific projects such as children's and youth initiatives.

Holistic Community Support

The Vine has links with local community organisations and from time-to-time we are approached to provide practical help and support for individuals and families in need. We always seek to care for people with love and respect for their dignity. Over the years we’ve done all sorts of things including litter-picking, hampers, DIY, food collections and pastoral care.
